Working closely with the team behind this project, we developed the brand concept and helped launch the business with a visual identity, website and supporting print collateral.
Driven by a true passion and deep respect for the Bavarian process of making beer – and following the Reinheitsgebot (Bavarian Beer Purity Law) of 1516 – Bavaria Brauhaus was launched, offering an authentic German experience in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.
We were involved at the inception of this concept and designed and launched the brand in 2015, a brand that has grown in stature and is now recognised across the UK as a quality representation of a Munich-style Bavarian Beer Hall.
Starting with a series of brand workshops and moving on to conceptual sketches, we developed and honed a visual identity that had Bavaria at its heart, capturing the warm and welcoming personality of the company.
We created a traditional crest based logo that would be used throughout the venue and online. It was cast in iron railings, painted on the ceiling as part of a fresco, and realised in print material in both beautiful gold foil and in full colour representations.

The visual identity, steeped in history but suited to a modern application and appealing to both bier aficionados and casual after work drinkers alike, was expanded and used in a new website that we designed to showcase the venue across the country and beyond.
We designed and developed the Wordpress website and launched it in time for the big venue and brand launch. It was developed to accept customer reservations and we set up for tracking of bookings from a coinciding digital marketing campaign.
For the big launch we designed VIP invites, which were sent out in GF Smith Colorplan Ebony envelopes, emblazoned with beautiful gold foil Bavaria Brauhaus logos.
We also designed the beer mats, menus and launch night beer tokens, as well as exterior flags and signage.
